Mid-Valley Neighborhood Improvement Association, Inc. (MVNIA)
offers a variety of services and assistance to homeowners to
conserve and improve the quality, livability and value of housing
in the MVNIA service region which is current the cities and townships of Batavia, Geneva, and St. Charles, Illinois.
MVNIA works closely with local governmental bodies and community
development organizations to develop and administer programs
and services that foster civic pride and help homeowners to
achieve quality, cost-efficient home improvements.
Examples of MVNIA services and technical assistance available
to homeowners in designated areas of the MVNIA service region
include:
- Programs designed to improve and maintain the visual appeal
and cleanliness of residential neighborhoods, including the
development and administration of MVNIA low-interest home
rehabilitation loan programs
- A housing resource center that provides information and
referral services
- Recommendations and resources for homeowners regarding code requirements,
selecting licensed contractors, and obtaining
all necessary permits for home improvements
- Technical assistance to homeowners in the rehabilitation
of architecturally or historically significant homes
- Assistance to homeowners with the development, coordination
and staging of neighborhood promotions and special events
