Mid-Valley Neighborhood Improvement Association, Inc. (MVNIA) helps residents of the cities and townships of Batavia, Geneva, and St. Charles obtain low-cost funding to rehabilitate, remodel, improve, and upgrade residential housing. Our mission is to enhance the image and economic vitality of our neighborhoods.

Our current project assisting others in our neighborhood is Nick's Pavilion.

The golf outing for Nick's Pavilion has been rescheduled for Monday, May 5, 2008 at Mill Creek Golf Course in Geneva. Please contact Kathy Koziara at 630-584-1996 for more information.

Trading Ideas Home Remodeling Tour

The Trading Ideas Home Remodeling Tour is scheduled for Saturday, May 17th in St. Charles, Geneva, and Batavia.

Participants will tour local homes that have been recently remodeled - ranging from the elegantly simple to extreme makeovers! Contractors, architects, designers and homeowners will be on hand to answer questions and explain the remodeling process.

The Trading Ideas Home Remodeling Tour is organized and sponsored by RE/MAX Excels. Proceeds will benefit MVNIA's Emergency Home Repair Fund (EHRF). This fund assists limited income homeowners with emergency health and safety issues in their homes.

Neighborhood Pride Showcase

Our annual celebration of community home improvement (Neighborhood Pride) will be held the week of May 18th through May 24th, 2008. Applications are available BY CLICKING HERE.

ReUseIt Center receives Governor's PATH Award!

On Friday, September 8, State Rep. Linda Chapa La Via (D-83rd District), Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Director Douglas Scott and Assistant Director Ron Burke joined us and others in the community in celebrating ReUseIt Center's First Anniversary. On behalf of the Governor, Director Scott presented the Governor's PATH (People Are Today's Heroes) Award to Mid-Valley Neighborhood Improvement Association for its ReUseIt Center program.

A BIG thank you to everyone in the community who supported the ReUseIt Center during the 2 years it was open!


GRANT APPRECIATION

The board, staff and volunteers of the ReUseIt Center and Mid-Valley Neighborhood Improvement Association, Inc., express their heartfelt gratitude for a grant  received from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA).   A large portion of the grant monies were used towards education and outreach to our local community to increase awareness of the ReUseIt Center.  Thank you again to the IEPA for being such a gracious and generous supporter of our work for the community.
